Description

The Bank Operations Generalist II serves as a key operational support for the CassPay division, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of daily banking tasks. This role also provides backup coverage for critical functions within Electronic Services/Deposit Operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Processes drawdown wires for CassPay clients to ensure timely funding and ACH file processing; verifies postings to the core system.
  • Monitors and responds to banking-related communications via the bank operations communication channel.
  • Ensures the automated stop payment process functions correctly and is reconciled daily.
  • Performs CassPay positive pay scrubs as the primary processor.
  • Administers and maintains Business Banking settings for the CassPay Company ID.
  • Monitors deposit account activity to ensure proper posting and reconciliation.
  • Assists with daily exception item processing, including returned items and adjustments.
  • Supports the setup and maintenance of ACH and wire transfer templates for CassPay clients.
  • Performs quality control checks on deposit transactions and ensures compliance with internal policies.
  • Assists with regulatory reporting related to deposit operations.
  • Provides back-up support for Electronic Services and other critical Bank Operations functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of bank operation functions, including item processing and electronic banking.
  • Thorough understanding of banking products and services including experience with deposit, loan, and accounting systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced level of Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of confidentiality.


MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:



  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5 years of banking experience with a focus on deposit operations and accounting functions.
