The Production Supervisor leads the day-to-day shift leadership necessary to foster an engaged team focusing on Continuous Improvement, safety, and Operational Excellence. They will strive to exceed internal and external customer expectations by maintaining efficient processes. Cross-functional collaboration is essential to effectively leading the team to achieve company goals. As a key member of Plant Leadership team, you will report to Plant Manager and directly oversee the production employees.
Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all documents, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Recruits, selects, onboards, trains employees.
- Completes the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Analyze cost savings or cost reduction opportunities and implement, as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, technical or BS degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible managerial related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
