Senior Manager, Corporate Events

Netsmart is looking for a strategic and inspiring leader to serve as Senior Manager, Corporate Events, guiding a high-performing team in delivering impactful experiences that support business growth, deepen client relationships and foster associate engagement. This is a highly visible role with strong executive support, offering the opportunity to shape experiences that influence sales, strengthen partnerships and celebrate our associates.

You will manage a team of six associates, providing mentorship, development and leadership in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. As a people leader, you will foster collaboration, drive excellence and create a culture of growth. Having an executive presence will be key as you partner with senior leaders across the organization to align event strategy with business goals and ensure flawless execution.

From overseeing more than 150 events annually including tradeshows, client visits, internal programs, and our flagship user conference, CONNECTIONS, to managing budgets, logistics and continuous improvement, you will be at the center of some of the most important moments at Netsmart.

Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Execution

  • Design, develop, and manage complex internal and external event programs that deliver highly visible, business-aligned outcomes.

  • Lead strategy and execution for over 150 annual tradeshows, including inventory oversight, partner coordination, and evaluation of organizational memberships to support future growth.

  • Oversee internal events and external events taking place within Netsmart buildings. Collaborate with Facilities, IT, and Client Experience teams to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment.

  • Manage a calendar of associate engagement events to foster a connected and vibrant workplace culture.

  • Support and evolve recognition initiatives and associate award programs.

  • Lead all aspects of CONNECTIONS, the Netsmart annual user conference, including backend planning and multi-year contracting, logistics, catering, room setups and cross-functional coordination.

  • Plan and execute large-scale corporate events such as user groups, retreats and bootcamps. Contribute to new event concepts, budgeting and strategic planning.

People Leadership & Program Management

  • Manage and mentor a team of six associates, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on growth, accountability and development.

  • Demonstrate strong executive presence while partnering with senior leaders to align event strategy with business priorities and drive impactful outcomes.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders regarding program objectives, outcomes and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure completion of program deliverables and development of business processes that meet strategic goals.

  • Monitor program performance against defined objectives and implement improvement strategies as needed.

  • Lead process and program improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 6 years of experience with program development or program management

  • At least 4 years of experience managing financial budgets and/or accounting tasks

  • Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
