Position Overview

The Rooms Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role includes supervising staff, supporting training and development, maintaining cleanliness standards, and delivering professional, courteous service to all guests.

Responsibilities



  • Lead, train, and support front desk and housekeeping associates to ensure efficient, professional, and courteous service.
  • Greet and assist guests with check-in, check-out, and inquiries, providing accurate information on hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Complete guest registration and billing accurately using the property management system; handle room assignments, key coding, and service recovery when needed.
  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back-of-house areas to maintain brand cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and loss-prevention policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to associates to encourage professional growth and maintain productivity.
  • Maintain a consistent presence to support guest and associate needs, with reliable attendance and schedule flexibility.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Previous hotel front office or housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and associates.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems; ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel for extended periods; ability to lift, bend, and handle housekeeping materials when necessary.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $27.00-$28.00 per hour; for applicants who will be working in New York, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $27.00-$28.00 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer, and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
