As the Head of Customer Logistics for Walmart & Sam's, you'll be the strategic force behind our largest retail partnership. This is your opportunity to lead high-impact supply chain initiatives, drive operational excellence, and shape the future of customer logistics at Utz.

The role will lead customer supply chain strategies and logistics operations for our largest retail partner. The role is directly responsible for ensuring exceptional service levels, driving operational excellence, and enabling data-drive decision-making to optimize cost to serve and in-stock performance. The leader will serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for Walmart and Sam's with accountability for order fulfillment, service execution, collaborative planning, and value creation. The position will be responsible for driving development and enhancements of order to cash systems, processes, and resources to reduce cycle times related to Walmart and Sam's. A key expectation is to establish and mature joint business and collaborative planning capabilities to create a competitive advantage through advanced collaboration, analytics insights, and flawless execution.

The Opportunity: Head of Customer Logistics - Walmart & Sam's

What You'll Own:



  • Own end-to-end order management and fulfillment for Walmart and Sam's accounts, ensuring service excellence and consistent case fill, OTIF, and in-stock performance.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for logistics and fulfillment issues impacting Walmart and Sam's with a focus on driving timely resolutions.
  • Develop direct relationship and partner closely with Walmart/Sam's replenishment and supply chain teams to proactively manage supply, forecast accuracy, inventory positions, and order efficiency.
  • Leverage Walmart Retail Link and other data tools to create analytical playbook and provide insights, forecast demand, and identify supply risks with focus on solutions.
  • Build predictive analytics and dashboards that track KPIs such as fill rate, in-stock %, OTIF, forecast bias using both internal and customer data.
  • Drive adoption of technology and automation to improve order-to-cash efficiency.
  • Lead the design and deployment of CPFR strategies with Walmart and Sam's to integrate customer insights into our IBP processes focused on demand and supply planning.
  • Establish joint forecasting, replenishment, service, and business review cadences to strengthen alignment and collaboration between sales, customer needs, and supply chain execution.
  • Partner with sales, demand planning, and supply chain planning to integrated outputs from CPFR and business reviews into IBP process.
  • Lead and develop dedicated team of logistics analysts and coordinators supporting Walmart and Sam's accounts.
  • Ensure accurate orders from customer whether EDI or manual to include pricing, sourcing, and active items.
  • Collaborate with customer and MDM team to drive robust customer and product data governance and ensure data synchronization with customer using our industry standards.
  • Own and lead improvement in Walmart's OTIF and SQEP programs. Develop deep understanding of all service level agreements related to these programs. Develop internal processes to reduce customer fines.
  • Develop strong relationship with sales to ensure all needs are met.
  • Execute customer logistics solutions and reporting in support of all value creation activities to drive service improvement, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
  • Define and deliver service level agreements internally with manufacturing, transportation, and warehouse leads to promote a culture of accountability and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with transportation and manufacturing to develop network sourcing strategy to optimize our cost-to-serve.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel as needed-10%


What You Bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in customer logistics, supply chain, or customer operations-CPG experience with Walmart/Sam's is a major plus.
  • Proven success delivering high customer service results (fill rate, OTIF, in-stock)
  • Deep understanding of Walmart and Sam's supply chain processes, systems, and data platforms
  • Experience with CPFR process
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in creating visual analytics particularly with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with ERP and TMS (Microsoft Dynamics 365 and e2open BluJay a plus)
  • Order management, customer service, and/or customer fulfillment
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously and operate cross-functionally
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in analytical thinking and data-based decision-making

  • Degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
