Job Description

Works under Plant Management instruction and standard procedures to set-up, troubleshoot and problem solve Production manufacturing, fabrication, painting, assembly, and support for machinery product issues.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

General Description:


  • Production Technician role is responsible for assisting in creation and maintenance of production manufacturing procedures, creating and maintaining standard work, optimizing existing and future manufacturing processes, providing technical support to front line personnel.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in and general knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, painting, and assembly areas, also capable of training and directing the work of others.
  • Attends/participates in meetings, completes special projects/miscellaneous assignments as needed directed by Plant Management.

Production Functions:


  • Supports the Production department in development and/or implementation of SOP's, continuous improvement initiatives, process control initiatives, and quality control initiatives.
  • Assist in the training of operators on all manufacturing, painting and assembly cell/line operations.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to develop capable processes to support and maintain a continuous flow of quality products for Mitek Machinery build operations.
  • Identify/Assist, support, and lead actions for implementing cost improvements/lean projects.
  • Production floor engagement to exceed 80% of total time

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of (5) years of relevant experience in production manufacturing are required.
  • Able to follow instructions, read, interpret, and troubleshoot engineering drawings or other technical documentation,
  • Observe guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office, AutoCAD are a plus.
  • Strong organizational communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently or within a team.
