Our Company

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe's all about. We give everyone-from emerging artists to global brands-everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We're passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We're on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

The Team:

We are the Delivery Engineering (aka CET) for Adobe's B2B Journey Management products. Our mandate is a little different from typical core engineering: we partner directly with Adobe's largest enterprise customers to design and ship roadmap features they need most urgently driving their success.
When a customer invests in dedicated engineering support to help unlock their initiatives, we team up with product management and core engineering to accelerate their critical needs.

We operate at the intersection of core engineering and customer success, which means we need people who can navigate complex distributed systems and hold their own in a room with stakeholders.

If you've ever been frustrated by working on features that never see production, or by being three degrees removed from the people actually using your code, this team is the antidote.

The Opportunity:

If you are a senior technology engineer looking to get closer to the customer, come join us for a career-accelerating opportunity within our team.
You'll work across multiple components of Adobe's B2B marketing stack in combination.
In a given month, you might be designing achange to handle increased volumes on our API's, debugging a distributed systems edge case, and sitting in a requirements session with a customer understanding the problem discussed and suggesting existing capabilities to resolve.
If you're passionate about solving real-world customer problems, thrive in a collaborative environment and love to challenge yourself, this is a fantastic opportunity! Drive a tangible impact on major Adobe customers and take part in a team shaping the future of B2B marketing automation.

The Role:

You will be acting in two focus areas, First you will drive engineering outcomes for customers, writing code and working with our team to drive customer focused outcomes. Second you will be representing core engineering in regular conversation with customers, with the help of product managers, support and sales teams, covering the asks and progress of delivery.
In both you will be explaining technical constraints, negotiating scope, and help clarify what customer asks. Because we're solving specific customer problems rather than building to a speculative roadmap, your work ships.
Beyond the customer work, the technical problems are genuinely interesting as they are connected to unique customer demands that need to be shipped to all customers. You will be working on highly-available systems enhancements, large-scale data streams, and the kind of performance optimization that comes from working with customers operating at scale who notice when things are slow.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, implement, and co-own features based on customer requirements, prioritizing performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop production-ready code for highly-available systems, data streams, and RESTful APIs.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, including robust testing and observability.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical leads, product management, and other engineers to deliver solutions meeting business and customer objectives.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis during service outages.
  • Own visibility into customer-driven work, tracking open requests, communicating progress, and ensuring customers have clear expectations on delivery timelines.
  • Drive tasks with strong ownership, clarity, and precision.
  • Participate in technical discussions regarding customer needs and implementation approaches.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on relevant technologies within the Adobe ecosystem and the broader industry.
What You Bring:
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) as a Software Engineer, with strong skills in Java or Scala and frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Significant experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems and data processing pipelines (e.g., experience with Kafka, Spark, Hadoop is valuable).
  • Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful web services.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., MySQL).
  • Experience with APM and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Kibana).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to model solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Situational awareness and experience handling technical discussions, including navigating differing viewpoints or requirements professionally.
  • A strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Desired Extras:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Microservice Architecture, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js).
  • Customer engagement experience.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases.
