About the Role

We're looking for a strategic, creative, and collaborative Associate Director of Social Strategy to leadinnovative and effective organic social strategies for top-tier clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the ever-evolving social landscape, strong leadership in cross-functional environments, and a passion for driving meaningful engagement and measurable impact across platforms.

You have a wide array of experience across multiple categories and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You excel at adapting to changing briefs while steering long-term strategies. You have experience pitching innovative social-first ideas to senior executives while fostering junior talent. You're constantly exploring new brand-building opportunities, with a focus on emerging trends.You bring a deep understanding of platform behaviors, cultural movements, and emerging social opportunities. You think in terms of both data and storytelling-and know how to bring them together to drive engagement and impact. You work fluidly across departments and disciplines, partnering closely with creative, influencer, data and analytics, and account teams to bring smart, culturally resonant campaigns to life.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of comprehensiveorganic social strategiesthat align with brand goals and business objectives.
  • Write strategic, actionable creative briefs that inspire content and creative teams to deliver platform-native, thumb-stopping work
  • Oversee the end-to-end development and deployment of social content and campaigns
  • Produce insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual social performance reports, highlighting key learnings, optimizations, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and interpret social trends, platform changes, and audience behaviors to inform agile, forward-thinking strategies
  • Present confidently to senior clients, translating complex insights and opportunities into compelling narratives
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including creative, influencer, analytics, account, and project management-to ensure cohesive and integrated work
  • Collaborate closely with creative leadsto guide concepting and maintain the integrity of strategic vision through execution
  • Support account leads in driving business growth and long-term strategic planning
  • Mentor and guide junior strategists, helping shape their growth and contributions to the agency
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients as a strategic partner and thought leader


What You'll Need

  • 8-15 years of social-first experience inclusive of content, creator partnerships, and community building
  • Proven track record of leading and developing organic social strategies for major brands
  • Strong B2B experience (preferred), including complex industries such as tech, public safety, and cybersecurity
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for identifying trends and turning them into strategic opportunities
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams of strategists and cross-disciplinary teams
  • Deep knowledge of major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Snapchat) and their evolving roles in brand marketing
  • Experience with social analytics and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, NetBase, Brandwatch)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations, with a talent for persuasive presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, teams, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of paid social and how it intersects with organic content in a brand's ecosystem
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of distilling insights from data and research to shape strategies
  • A creative, curious mindset and a desire to push boundaries and elevate the work

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$75,000 $180,000 USD
