We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure. The system engineer will interact with the development teams, production teams, program leadership and customers regarding technical considerations and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities. This position is based out of our Healdsburg, CA office and is an exempt, full-time, non-supervisory role.

Experiences and Background We Look For:

  • Eligible to obtain and hold a Secret / Top Secret clearance.
  • Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available.
  • Assist in the development of requirements derivation, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification.
  • Conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system.
  • Support test events at multiple test event sites.
  • Experiences and Background We Look For: Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering
    1. 2+ yrs. experience with BS/BA
    2. 0+ yrs. experience with MS/MA

Nice to have:

  • Jama for Requirements and Test Management
  • Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME
  • Modern and classical feedback control
  • Modeling and simulation of electromechanically stabilized systems
  • Time and frequency domain analysis methods
  • Sensor and actuation selection and design for motion control applications
  • Empirical frequency response measurement and compensation tuning
  • Conversant with SMEs in mechanical, electrical, software, optical and systems engineering
  • Aided inertial navigation and state estimation using Kalman Filter observers
  • Requirement derivation and allocation across engineering disciplines
  • Performance verification and model validation
  • Experience with systems using embedded processing

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. 05
