Logistics Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a logistics specialist, you know that every program relies on clearly defined logistics processes to work. You understand government systems and material specifications and know that using logistics principles is critical to ensuring the integrity of the mission. We're looking for a logistics engineer like you to apply your logistics and process improvement experience to develop tools for our client. Using your skills in identifying root problems and reliability management, you'll help coordinate all system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.

As a logistics specialist on our team, you'll help identify the root cause of issues such as inventory management, storage space, and logistics functionality. You'll use your findings to create a path forward that meets design requirements and ensures functionality. Your experience with integrated systems and understanding of material specifications is essential to ensuring quality when designing mission-critical solutions.

In this role, you'll use your engineering logistics and materials knowledge to contribute to the safety of the warfighter. You'll work closely with senior team members and grow your skills in root-cause analysis and process improvement resolution.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Logistics Manager
  • 5+ years of experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Experience with property organization and accountability, including product life cycle and warranty guidance
  • Experience with the control and maintenance of property records on all Contractor Acquired and Government Furnished Property (GFP) assigned in performance of contract requirements
  • Experience performing inventory and tracking of calibration equipment and tools
  • Experience with receiving and shipping management
  • Experience with warehouse property issuing structure implementation, including maintaining detailed property, receiving and shipping records, and quality assurance
  • Experience with property tag inventory management using "WASP" inventory database or software
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with inventory management
  • Knowledge of USAF logistics or property management protocol
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent leadership and communication skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
