Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Database Director. The individual in this position will be accountable for: Managing the day-to-day operations and data integrity of the School's fundraising database
Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Advancement, Business and Information Systems Offices to exchange data and to provide accurate information on gifts and constituents, while ensuring confidentiality Providing support and training for all Advancement Office staff in the use of the database Managing part- or full-time positions that provide gift processing and database support and entering gifts as needed, ensuring that all gifts and event registrations are recorded in the database and that all contributions are acknowledged in a timely manner Facilitating monthly reconciliation of gifts and pledges with the Business Office Creating Google App Scripts that facilitate reporting needs, making changes to enhance report formats, maintaining a thorough knowledge of report inventory and their uses, managing a tracking system to determine priority of report requests from staff, and working with staff to clarify report requests and formatting needs Producing regular fundraising reports and analysis that will drive decision-making of future efforts Facilitating stewardship of restricted and endowed funds by ensuring timely entry of data into the database and the generation of letters to the appropriate contacts Performing year-end procedures including closing the Annual Fund by reconciling with the Business Office, creating lists for the Annual Report, and participating in annual data turnover and reports Reviewing and regularly updating the procedures manual, including procedures for data entry, gift processing, end-of-year activities, and policies that improve data integrity and usefulness Candidates must have: a bachelors degree; work experience in fundraising data management; technical knowledge of data management systems and processes; experience with relevant Blackbaud solutions preferred, such as Raisers Edge/NXT and Online Express. Successful candidates will possess: excellent problem-solving, technology, and customer service skills; superior time-management skills with an ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality work products; excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and an ability to create effective action plans to meet goals; effective communication skills, both orally and in writing; an ability to communicate complex issues, as well as to maintain open communication channels with relevant stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer.
