DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your purpose in this role will be to establish, execute, and continuously improve our statewide needs-based system of training for SUD, gambling professionals, and other stakeholders in Pennsylvania. You will assess the educational needs of the field; evaluate course content and the performance of contracted course instructors; recruit and contract with new instructors; and work with subject matter experts to update, develop, and maintain educational content that is current and follows best practice in adult education. This includes executing Training of Trainers events; assisting in the administration of an online training management system; and providing technical assistance to instructors, students, Single County Authorities, and other DDAP stakeholders. With our team, you will have the opportunity to wield significant influence on the advancement of DDAP training services in Pennsylvania. We will rely on your critical thinking skills and solution focused mindset to identify opportunities for improvement across our extensive catalog of courses. You will be independently responsible for completing depth analyses of information and issues to promote successful oversight and implementation of training initiatives. This position will allow you to travel throughout the state representing the interests of the department and to foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders at the local and state level. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
