Position Summary

The Scientific Analyst I supports execution of protocols, executes, documents and analyzes assigned multiple Laboratory tests in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques and Customer specifications.


What You'll Do as a Scientific Analyst I

  • Analyzes test results from multiple Laboratory testing areas, reports findings or conclusions and interpretation of data to scientists and management. 35 - 40%
  • Initiates test result investigations for root cause, reports findings and implements corrections as assigned. 10 -20%
  • Evaluates procedures and provides process improvement suggestions through execution of Document Change Order (DCO) procedure. 10 - 20%
  • Assists in trending results for the Laboratory and Customers. 10 - 15%
  • Supports the execution of study protocols or validations, both internal and external. 10 - 15%
  • Reviews and approves Laboratory methods as technical designee. 5 - 10 %
  • Supports the qualification of new testing and methods. <5%
  • Reads, interprets and records results of testing as requested. <5%

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Science
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Laboratory


Preferred:



  • 1-year experience authoring Document Change Orders preferred.

Skills

  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of test method validations.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the standards requirements.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of laboratory testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
  • Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $67,000 to $75,000, depending on experience and skillset.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
