As a Security Officer - Access Control in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to restricted areas. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to any access control concerns. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
