Description Join our Division of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, where you'll provide both clinical and clerical support under the supervision of our full-time faculty and practice manager. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly specialized surgical practice, supporting patients through every step of their care. Performing patient work-ups (medical history, visual acuity, photography, color vision tests) Decontaminating and processing equipment and instrumentation Assisting as surgical assistant or circulating scrub technician during procedures Establishing and maintaining electronic patient charts Assisting with phones, scheduling, authorizations, and collecting payments Salary Range: $34.67-45.74 Hourly Qualifications Required: Must be able to perform visual assessments and take visual histories accurately and efficiently. Able to work rapidly and accurately with attention to detail. Ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record. The ability to type 25 wpm and experience with computer data entry is mandatory. Must be able to provide a comfortable caring atmosphere for patients. Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions. Ability to communicate well with patients, staff, and doctors Good organizational skills, and ability to follow up on tasks and see them through to completion Preferred: CPR certification.
