DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and enhancing Bald Eagle State Park. It is crucial to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and you may also take on the responsibility of leading a small group of manual laborers in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will include mowing grass, trimming weeds, cutting firewood, collecting litter, transporting materials using dump trucks or pickup trucks, cleaning grills, sweeping paved areas, digging holes and ditches, and maintaining drains and culverts. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with fellow team members and may interact with the public to address inquiries and provide necessary information.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2026.
  • Shifts/days vary. This position will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
