THE POSITION

In this temporary full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of a wide range of events, meetings, and banquets, while also maintaining the facility grounds. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for various tasks essential to the safe and efficient operation of all equipment during the Farm Show event. Your main duties will include setting up, maintaining, and dismantling for the different events hosted at the complex. Additionally, you will oversee the upkeep of the grounds and facilities, which involves managing equipment operations, handling waste and custodial duties, performing general maintenance, and ensuring snow removal. The Farm Show Complex operates in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines, requiring you to ensure that all events are prepared and maintained effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary, full-time position (typically September through May)
  • Available shifts:
    • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Thursday - Monday, with a 30-minute lunch
    • 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Shift differential is $1.25 an hour), Thursday - Monday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position may require overtime as needed
  • Free onsite parking
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
