Are you a civil or environmental engineering student curious about how infrastructure begins? Fishbeck's Survey Internship offers hands-on experience in evaluating water and wastewater systems, preparing engineering reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You'll gain practical skills and insight into the early stages of engineering projects-all while contributing to real work that matters.
What You'll Work On
- Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
- Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
- Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
- Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
- GPS knowledge is a plus.
- Possess valid driver's license.
- Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
