Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. Priority will be given to the following markets: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Indiana Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia.

This position, within Enterprise Technology & Operations Business Risk & Controls consults on and develops internal communications and presentations that convey the Bank's corporate priorities, department's strategic initiatives while positively reflect our brand and Forever First promise. Develops, edits, and designs innovative intranet content and articles, podcasts, videos, decks, and other internal leader communications. Serves as a key partner to strategic projects by creating and managing communications plans that ensure concise, timely, and effective communication to associates. Facilitates effective collaboration across departments, leaders, and integration of the Bank's Statement of Purpose. Provides written and editorial consulting services to business leaders, associates, and internal partners to align communication needs with strategic results.


Responsibilities

  • Consultation - Advises business leaders and internal partners on effective methods of communication. Provides written and editorial consulting services to ensure corporate communications are concise, consistent, and relevant to associates. Analyzes company intranet usage trends and statistics and recommends areas for improvement.
  • Content Creation - Develops communications plans for enterprise-wide and intradepartmental strategic projects to ensure the timeliness and consistency of messaging. Creates and edits content geared toward specific audiences and assists in determining the most effective communications channels for content. Fosters audience engagement through relevant, concisely packaged content.
  • Collaboration - Collaborates with internal and external constituents to stay apprised of Bank priorities and issues and develop internal communications that reach and engage audiences.
  • Business Support - Maintains knowledge of best-in-class corporate communications and internal communications practices and incorporates these into team's strategy and execution to foster continuous improvement. Ensures that legal and compliance requirements are met across all communication channels.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Internal Communications and Professional Writing

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Internal Communications and Professional Writing

Preferred Area of Study: Communications, Journalism, or English

Preferred Area of Experience: Intranet Writing and Web Design

Preferred Qualifications(s):

  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop,
  • Understanding of corporate communications
  • Previous experience developing, designing and editing design innovative intranet contact and articles, podcasts, videos, decks and other internal communications.
  • Experience creating and managing communications plans
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate across departments
  • Develops, edits, and designs innovative intranet content and articles, podcasts, videos, decks, and other internal communications.

*Ability to work Eastern or Central time zone hours is preferred.

If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $71,000 and $88,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
