You will be based in our Springfield, TN location. This shift will start at 1:00pm and end 9:30 pm depending on the production schedule.

Summary:

The Tool & Die Maker will be working with cross-functional teams toolroom, production, and maintenance operations. Excellent tool and die skills are crucial for the team to achieve success. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in similar, fast-pace, environment within the industry.

Your main tasks:

• Maintenance, repair, and modification of dies of various sizes
• Responsible for correct disassembly and assembly of dies in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
• Support production and maintenance with troubleshooting
• Perform daily safety inspections and rotating process audits
• Read and interpret CAD data and blueprints to customer specifications
• Apply manufacturing best practices for safety, quality, efficiency, and capability
• Complete miscellaneous duties and projects as directed by supervisor/manager
• Assist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction
• Identify problems associated with tooling and make minor repairs. Repair and adjust a variety of fixtures, tooling, gauges and die transfers using small hand tools and various grinding and drilling machines.
• Identify and implement proactive systems/repairs/improvements to achieve consistent reduction of manufacturing defects and productivity concerns
• Must comply with all appropriate Safety Policies and Procedures including, but not limited to Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Lifting (35lbs. or more) Ergonomics, Housekeeping, etc.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalency
• Requires 8 or more years of experience in Tool & Die, or a Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding a variety of blueprints and tool designs, and implantation of Engineering Changes
• Experience with medium to large Tandem Line Dies or small to medium Transfer Dies or medium to large Progressive Dies
• Must be proficient with basic mathematics
• Must have, at minimum, basic level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
• Requires use of precision measuring instruments
• Complete Vision Certification Training and participate as an Area Team Member
• Ability to work overtime as required, including Sunday
