Logistics Coordinator

Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our client's team in Houston, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your logistics expertise into a growing company with a stable weekday schedule and competitive pay.

Pay: $24 - $28 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: First Shift | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Act as the main point of contact for overseas commercial documents, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Maintain and update overseas pricing records and shipping information
• Communicate shipping and receiving details and maintain records on shared drives
• Track tariffs, anti-dumping, and countervailing duties; update relevant documentation
• Manage and organize commercial shipping documents, entry summaries, and customs exemptions
• Handle Importer Security Filings (ISF), Bills of Lading, customs bonds, and broker invoicing
• Coordinate Customs and Border Patrol payments and wire receipts with accounting
• Work closely with vendors and customs brokers to ensure regulatory compliance
• Schedule container pickups and deliveries, including intercompany shipments
• Secure competitive rates for international air and sea shipping; track container vessels
• Coordinate small international shipments, prepare manifests and shipping labels
• Partner with freight forwarders to clear customs and resolve any shipping delays
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping costs and insurance documentation

What You Bring:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
• Experience using inventory or ERP systems
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with vendors and brokers
• Familiarity with international shipping, customs regulations, and logistics processes
