The Trauma Performance Improvement/Injury Prevention Coordinator:



  • Applies knowledge of nursing systems to achieve departmental and institutional objectives.
  • Assists the Trauma Program Manager by planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating performance improvement activities and injury prevention initiatives for the Pediatric Trauma Service.
  • Coordinates Performance Improvement activities for the Pediatric Trauma Service utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Analyze clinical data to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement in trauma care.
  • Works with other Maryland trauma centers and MIEMSS to improve trauma care in the State of Maryland.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive trauma PIPS plan in alignment with ACS-COT and state standards.



Shift: Day Shift / 40 hours per week



Who Should Apply:



  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Maryland


  • Advanced certification as CPEN, ABLS, ATCN, TNCC preferred
  • Requires at least 3-5 years nursing experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care.
  • Evidence of project management experience with multidisciplinary groups

Salary Range: Minimum 39.94/hour - Maximum 61.91/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
