Scope of Work

The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing and Operational Leadership according to policies and procedures within an ambulatory setting.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team, specializing in anticoagulation management and multi-system care. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in patient education, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and excels in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Educate and support patients undergoing anticoagulation therapy, including warfarin (Coumadin) and DOACs (dabigatran, rivaroxaban, apixaban, edoxaban).
* Apply critical thinking to coordinate and manage care for patients with complex, multi-organ system conditions.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and personalized care plans.
* Utilize EPIC for documentation, communication, and care coordination with proficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of floor nursing experience in acute or chronic care settings.
* Strong foundation in anticoagulation protocols and multi-system disease management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education.
* Highly organized, with proven time management and keyboard proficiency.
* Familiarity and confidence using EPIC and other clinical documentation systems.

Qualifications
  • Required Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. Preferred effective September 2024.
