The Director, Brand Voice Copywriter at Salesforce is a strategic creative leader who shapes and maintains Salesforce's unique brand voice through written communication. They're responsible for developing and scaling a differentiated and trusted brand voice across all platforms and materials. This role will involve collaborating closely with our brand creative teams, product marketing teams, agencies and beyond to ensure the Salesforce brand voice is effective and consistent across the whole ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Implementing Brand Voice:Establishing and maintaining a differentiated, consistent, and trusted brand voice across all communications, ensuring it aligns with the brand strategy and resonates with our target audiences.

  • Enablement: Building enablement resources and leading trainings for cross-functional writers and communicators across Salesforce.

  • Copy Editing:Ensuring highest-visibility copy is in brand campaigns and mainstage keynotes is clear and aligned with brand guidelines.

  • Creative Direction:Providing creative direction for campaigns and projects, ensuring all content aligns with the overall brand strategy.

  • Exceptional Writing and Editing Skills: Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style, with the ability to adapt to different writing styles and tones.

  • Deep Partnership with Brand Strategy & Messaging: Deep understanding of brand strategy, messaging frameworks, and how to effectively communicate a brand's unique identity.

  • Scalability and innovation:Utilizing modern tools including AI to efficiently scale the Salesforce brand voice.

  • Collaboration:Working closely with marketing, design, product, and other teams to ensure brand consistency and effective content creation.

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide a team, provide constructive feedback, and effectively communicate with stakeholders according to Pluralsight's job description.

  • Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills:.Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build strong relationships.

  • Understanding of different marketing and communication channels and how to modulate tone for different audiences, platforms, and contexts.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of copywriting experience, with 5+ years leading brand voice within an agency and/or in-house creative team.

  • Leading brand voice and/or copy for brand creative for a world-class company at either an agency or in house. Both a plus. Technology, SAAS and enterprise technology products and service experience preferred.

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is often preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate strategic messaging into compelling copy.

  • Skilled teacher - able to coach and train people to learn and deploy brand voice, through trainings, workshops, and feedback.

  • Expert utilizing AI writing tools both at an individual execution level, also at an organizational level for scale and enablement.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone of voice for diverse audiences and platforms.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand-driven storytelling and impactful campaigns across various formats.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $281,100. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600.
