Job Overview

The EEG Educational Coordinator coordinates neurodiagnostic education and supports technology systems across the system of care. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the EEG Tech Training program, ensuring alignment with clinical standards and educational best practices. Supports the administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of IT systems and applications used in both educational and clinical environment. This role ensures compliance with accreditation standards, optimizes system performance, and supports end users across the system of care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Designs, implements, and evaluates EEG/neurodiagnostic educational programs for students and new hires, ensuring training aligns with best practices and current industry standards.
2. Coordinates didactic instruction, clinical rotations, and onboarding processes for neurodiagnostic staff and trainees, fostering seamless integration into the clinical environment.
3. Ensures compliance with accreditation and certification standards including ABRET, ASET, and AASM, and maintains up-to-date educational operational documentation.
4. Manages recruitment efforts, student evaluations, and accreditation-related reporting to support program growth and institutional accountability.
5. Mentors clinical preceptors and educators, providing guidance and resources to support consistent and high-quality instruction across departments.
6. Coordinates with internal IT and external systems vendors to provide key information on clinical operations, clinical processes, and clinical user perspective during the installation, configuration, and maintenance of EEG educational and clinical application systems, ensuring availability, performance, and compatibility with clinical workflows.
7. Serves as the liaison between EEG Clinical staff and IT to identify and determine user roles, assign application access to appropriate staff to protect sensitive data and optimize system usage in both educational and clinical settings.
8. Collaborates with developers, vendors, and stakeholder to implement and customize software solutions that support neurodiagnostic education and clinical operations Conducts and supports department staff in user acceptance testing of new or updated software.
9. Identifies system issues from the user perspective, troubleshoots user issues and coordinates with IT and external vendors to resolve issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
10. Provides system documentation, end-user training, and audit support, ensuring transparency, compliance, and effective use of technology.
11. Leads and manages cross-functional projects, from planning to execution, ensuring delivery defined objectives within scope, timeline, and budget. Engages stakeholders to define project requirements and milestones, tracks progress, mitigates risks, and communicates updates throughout the project lifecycle.
12. Provides direct patient care and serves as a role model for clinical excellence, stepping in to support EEG services and mentoring staff during peak times or as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate from Neurodiagnostic Program.
Experience: Five (5) years of clinical neurodiagnostic experience.
Equivalency: None
Certification(s): BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association and Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM)
Licensure(s): Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.),

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $36.52 to $54.78
