Cytology Prep Technician - 32 hours/week 8am-4:30pm Job Ref: 32698 Category: Laboratory & Medical Technologist Location: Emerson Hospital, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742 Department: Lab - Cytology Schedule: Part Time Shift: Day shift Hours: 8:00A-4:30P Job Summary Reporting to the Cytology/Pathology Supervisor, assists with the daily operations of the Cytology, Histology, and Grossing Room areas and helps back-up the transcriptionists as requested. Ensures that Cytology specimens are accessioned properly, generates working drafts and billing slips, and operates the Cytyc Thin Prep Analyzer Minimum Qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience Previous experience in lab environment preferred. Licensure and/or Certification None required. Skills Excellent customer service skills. Very good typing skills. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Computer proficiency. Ability to maintain confidential information.
