Senior Consultant/Thermographer Your tasks
Position Summary: Perform on-site electrical system assessments to document existing system configuration, equipment ratings, conductor lengths and ampacities, and overcurrent protective device information Responsibilities: Installation of arc flash labels Assist with power system studies including arc flash studies, short circuit coordination studies, and fault current studies Assist with the development of arc flash reports (deliverables include arc flash labels, single-line diagrams, and recommendations to reduce incident energy) Willing to learn SKM PowerTools and AutoCAD Required Travel: 60 - 80% US based, overnight travel and on-site field work is required Valid driver's license Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Licensed electrician with a minimum 2 years work experience in industrial/commercial electrical power systems, OR Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology with a minimum 2 years work experience in industrial/commercial electrical power systems, OR High school diploma with a minimum 5 years work experience in industrial/commercial electrical power systems, OR Military training and certification in the electrical field with related work experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements in relation to arc flash and electrical distribution Must have the ability to understand installed electrical distribution systems, electrical schematic diagrams, and engineering documentation. Self-directed and able to solve problems in the field with no supervision Ability to interface with customers including maintenance, safety, and plant engineering personnel; as well as with upper levels of management Must be proficient in the generation of technical reports including recommendations to clients Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience using SKM PowerTools and AutoCAD desired but not required Certified NFPA70E training is a plus Additional Information
