Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CArEE) at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position, beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. The teaching activities will take place in Springfield Missouri, at the Missouri State University Campus. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Mechanics and other fundamental civil engineering courses. The candidate should also be willing to contribute to departmental service activities, including leading student chapters of professional societies, mentoring senior design teams, supporting online and corporate education efforts, and participating in recruitment and outreach.

The successful candidate must hold at least a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in civil engineering or a closely related field.

Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE), or the ability to obtain PE licensure within a reasonable time frame, is strongly encouraged.

Demonstrated passion for teaching and familiarity with innovative pedagogies-including problem-based and service-based learning-will be highly valued during the evaluation process. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to develop effective course materials, and a commitment to student engagement and success.
