Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. Acquisition Logistician to support the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy at Wright-Patterson AFB. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Provide support for the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy.
  • Perform as key participants in developing long-term weapon system supportability approaches that further the government's acquisition strategy goals and objectives.
  • Provide support to accomplish the generation and review of logistics support documentation that includes the following: Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), Technical Order (TO)s, technical manuals, electronic technical manuals, illustrated parts breakdowns, and work specifications to ensure the documentation meets government logistics support requirements.
  • Work on logistics and maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: technical evaluation and identification of weapon systems logistic requirements and resources, development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans, systems acquisition requirements analysis and control, Automated. Information System (AIS) hardware and software standardization and compatibility, product support/Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Cost (RAM-C) program test and evaluation planning and execution, and product support/RAM-C analysis and assessments in supportability planning.
  • Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings, program management reviews, and other related meetings.
  • Collect, compile, analyze, investigate, research, or apply logistics, maintenance, acquisition or financial data and information.
  • Accomplish source of repair assignment process changes as directed by core activation requirements.
  • Setup, coordinate, and facilitate meetings, Video Teleconferences (VTCs), and conferences as assigned.
  • Interpret department and center digital transformation and digital materiel management strategies and formulates implementation plans for WAG programs.
  • Evaluate and implement principles of digital transformation and digital materiel management throughout the enterprise.


Qualifications

20+ years experience in acquisitions including at least 5 years working in a DoD and SAP environment. Master's degree in a related field. Possess the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in the technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. Experience address product support elements including: sustaining/system engineering; design interface; supply support; maintenance planning and management; support equipment/automatic test systems; facilities; packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; technical data management/technical orders; manpower and personnel; training; computer resources; and protection of critical information and anti-tamper provision. Understands the theories and principles of ILS planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program. Demonstrate a working knowledge of logistics and maintainability programs to include, but not be limited to, product support RAM-C program test and evaluation planning and execution, technical evaluation and identification of weapon systems logistics requirements and resources. Demonstrate an understanding of budgetary or financial analysis and control and life cycle cost analysis and control. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI (TS/SCI).
