Primary Care- Pediatrician (Brookside- Jamaica Plain, MA)
Brigham and Women's Primary Care is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven BC/BE Pediatrician or Pediatrics-trained Internal Medicine or Pediatrics-focused Family Medicine Physician committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We invite you to apply and join our team as an outpatient Primary Care Pediatrician at Brookside Community Health Center in Jamaica Plain, MA, where you will play a vital role in caring for and advocating for our diverse patient community. Brookside Community Health Center is a comprehensive facility offering primary care and specialty services, including dental, nutrition/WIC, lab, and behavioral health. Licensed by Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), part of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Healthcare system, our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality, team-based care to all patients and families, with a strong focus on vulnerable and underserved populations. Most of our patients are MassHealth (Medicaid) recipients and come from nearby communities, including Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale, and West Roxbury. At Brookside our mission extends to serving our community with community outreach programs and partnerships, including our prior COVID-19 testing site, screenings and resources for social determinants of health, free skin cancer screenings, nutrition, Zumba and yoga sessions for children and families, and a partnership with the MGB Mobile Van, providing services for high blood pressure, substance-use disorder, and more. Our team is dedicated to caring for a diverse patient population that encompasses all demographics and health conditions. We aim to provide language-concordant, equitable care for all our patients, emphasizing racial justice and health equity. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, we employ a team-based care model that includes integrated behavioral health, registered nurses, community health workers, and resources for substance use disorder treatment. We focus on the wellness of both staff and patients, actively pursuing initiatives to promote overall well-being at our center. There are opportunities for teaching and precepting medical students. Faculty appointments are available through Harvard Medical School. This position is part-time, 4- 6 clinical sessions per week, each session is 4 hours. We also have per-diem and moonlighting opportunities available. This role offers a manageable patient load of approximately nine patients per session, supported by AI-powered scribe technology for efficient, patient-centered care. Twice-daily in-basket management is required, with a virtual APP support team collaborating with your care team to help reduce volume. You'll work within a collaborative, team-based care model, backed by a robust administrative infrastructure. Requirements *Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pediatrics or Family Medicine *Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. *Must hold an active Massachusetts Medical license or be eligible to obtain one. *Proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is preferred. *Experience working in community health settings is a plus. * About Us - Brigham and Women's Hospital is a founding member of Mass General Brigham and a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Appointment at Harvard Medical School- Depending upon the position, there may be opportunities to teach residents and medical students. All Harvard Medical School Faculty appointments require at least 50 hours of teaching per academic year. Harvard Medical School faculty appointment is not a requirement for this position. Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor, full-time or part-time at Harvard Medical School, will be considered for applicants meeting teaching expectations and will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
