About the Team
Convergint's Global Infrastructure & Cybersecurity team is a group of technology and security professionals dedicated to protecting and enhancing our global IT infrastructure. We operate with a Cloud-first mentality, building robust, secure, and scalable Cloud environments. Our mission is to proactively solve complex infrastructure and security challenges, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance across the entire organization.
We're at a critical juncture where achieving compliance with CMMC standards is crucial. CMMC is not only essential for protecting sensitive information but increasingly vital for maintaining competitiveness in government contracting markets. Successfully implementing and maintaining CMMC compliance will position us strategically ahead of evolving regulatory demands, creating exciting opportunities to secure and expand our business partnerships.

What You'll Do
Manage, secure, and maintain our Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environment in alignment with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and NIST 800-171 standards. This role encompasses administration and security oversight for Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Email, Teams, and Entra ID) and Azure infrastructure (Azure Virtual Desktops and Sentinel). This role will also manage, with a focus on developing automation, additional Azure infrastructure components beyond the CMMC-specific environment, ensuring the stability and security of the broader organizational cloud infrastructure.
Administer and secure Microsoft 365 environments (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Entra ID), ensuring compliance with CMMC requirements.
Deploy, manage, automate, and optimize Azure infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD), Microsoft Sentinel, and other services necessary for organizational operations and compliance.
Implement security policies, procedures, and controls for CMMC compliance.
Oversee identity and access automation management (IAM), ensuring robust security measures through Microsoft Entra ID.
Proactively monitor security events, respond to incidents, and mitigate vulnerabilities using advanced threat protection tools.
Conduct regular compliance audits, ensuring documentation is thorough, current, and readily available for assessments. Collaborate closely with internal cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams to align on global standards and best practices.
Provide training and guidance to users and IT teams regarding security protocols and compliance obligations.

What We're Looking For
Deep expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID, with proven experience driving cloud-first strategies.
Hands-on experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure, particularly Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD).
Solid understanding and practical experience with automation tools and techniques for streamlining administrative tasks and enhancing efficiency, such as Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform.
Ability to proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across global teams and document compliance processes.
A mindset focused on continual improvement, compliance rigor, and operational excellence.
Demonstrated ability to drive projects from initiation through successful completion independently.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, Microsoft certifications).
Comprehensive understanding of CMMC requirements, including practical experience with compliance processes and audits. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS.

What does success look like in the first 6 months?
Within the first 6 months, success will be demonstrated by:

1. Establishing comprehensive security policies and procedures compliant with CMMC standards.
2. Fully operationalizing Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) and Microsoft Sentinel with robust monitoring and incident response capabilities.
3. Conducting practical training for stakeholders, ensuring a broad understanding and adherence to new security protocols.
4. Developing and maintaining clear, thorough documentation to streamline compliance management and audit readiness.
5. Conducting a complete review and assessment of existing Azure infrastructure, creating detailed documentation of the current state, identifying optimization opportunities, and establishing clear ownership and accountability for all Azure resources.
