Summary of the Job:

An established Minneapolis based broker/dealer is looking to expand its institutional equity sales desk. The ideal candidate will have extensive institutional sales experience , results driven mindset with a proven track record of generating revenue by selling equity products (stocks, derivatives, US Equities etc.) to institutional clients and family offices, providing market insights, and fostering strong, long-term client relationships. Willingness to lead by example in all activities including, cold call prospective new clients to expand the firm's customer base is essential.

We are looking for people who have an institutional sales package & able to leverage strong existing relationships.

About This Role:

  • Concisely articulate stock recommendations, research, and analytic tools to institutional clients
  • Interface with portfolio managers/analysts/market data professionals
  • Engage clients through regular communication (calls, meetings, presentations) to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Proactively reach out to clients to arrange meetings with issuers for non-deal roadshows, investor updates, etc.
  • Obtains complete account paperwork from all new accounts and updates account paperwork for existing accounts
  • Achieve revenue growth by opening new business/building existing client base
  • Generate monthly sales revenue within six months of initial employment
  • Leverage internal research, economic analysis, and proprietary trading insights to generate compelling and relevant investment ideas for clients.
  • Develop relationships with across Northland Capital Markets to help grow the business
  • Work independently with integrity in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Develop the highest level of client satisfaction

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Series 7, 63 required (24 optional)
  • Previous experience at a reputable equities research boutique is preferred
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
