Join Our Team as an Electrical Technician Lead at Epiroc!

Work Type: Onsite

Shift Timings:7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Your Mission: TheElectrical Technician Leadis responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in production processes. This role involves coordinating team activities, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity. The Production Lead serves as a key liaison between management and production staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company goals. Additionally, they are tasked with maintaining compliance with industry standards, fostering a collaborative work environment, and implementing Lean principles to streamline operations.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead daily Production pulse
  • Coordinate daily work activities based on Production demands
  • Check availability of parts, components, and materials using ERP system and other tools/systems
  • Follow-up on shortages or faulty parts
  • Submit Production related issues into assigned workflow and follow-up as required
  • Facilitate continuous improvement efforts in the assigned work area
  • Take ownership over Production quality in assigned work area and ensure all work meets quality standards before moving to next operation
  • Motivate employees
  • Assist in assigning duties
  • Maintain the cleanliness and 5S initiatives in the assigned work area
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor and responsible team(s)
  • Maintain work related records and reports (i.e. quality defects, unplanned material requisition)
  • Ensure availability of all stored supplies
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines and lead work area safety initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required or directed based on qualifications including assembly, installation, testing, etc.
  • Train new hires and existing team members



Your profile:



  • 2 years of experience in similar positions
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Journeyman license, required.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics
  • Knowledge of mechanical components/systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulic components/systems
  • Knowledge of electrical components/systems
  • Computer skills including MS Office, ERP Systems, Jira, etc.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting (hydraulic and electrical)
  • Hand and power tools, test equipment and gauges
  • Knowledge of rig components and systems including "RCS".
  • Knowledge of safe rig operation



To promote wellness, ergonomic equipment, and regular breaks are encouraged. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required while on the production floor or testing area. PPE includes Hard Hat or Bump Cap, Safety Glasses & Steel Toe Shoes.

While working on the production floor, the work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, dirt, oil, other shop elements or airborne particles; and outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). Work may also involve climbing up to 4-6 feet using ladders and crawling underneath rigs. May also be required to lift up to 30 lbs.Moderate physical demand in handling materials and tools while installing components, wiring and related operations. Work also involves climbing or working at elevated heights using ladders and/or lifts as well as working underneath the drilling rigs.
