The role falls in Global Tax within the CFO organization supporting the execution of RTI's mission by ensuring financial stability, driving operational excellence and managing risk. What You'll Do

The Senior Global Tax Specialist (Internal Title: Senior Global Tax Specialist 1) will support the administration of RTI's tax policies and procedures, be responsible for compliance with international, federal, state, and local tax laws, and coordinate research as needed on the tax consequences of RTI's activities. This role will report to the Manager, Global Tax. This position may be on site, hybrid or remote. Candidates in close proximity to our RTP headquarters preferred in order to attend in-person meetings, however this is not required.

Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Compile and timely file all US compliance including Form 990, 990T, 1120, 4720, US sales tax, US Property tax and other required filings.
  • Support miscellaneous international filings.
  • Preparation of tax provisions.
  • Monitor tax filing frequencies through maintenance of the tax calendar.
  • Review projects to determine classification for UBI.
  • Provide guidance to RTI staff on tax-related matters, as appropriate.
  • Track legislative tax developments for potential impact and advise accordingly.
  • Assist with responses to audits and other regulatory related inquiries.
  • Quarterly reconciliation of tax accounts.
  • Quarterly calculation and payment of tax estimates.
  • Assist with preparing relevant and requested management reports.
  • Adhere to internal control measures.
  • Assist and/or lead various projects as assigned.
  • Support compliance reviews of RTI's transactions, including periodical internal IRS readiness examinations and foreign regulatory authority audits.
  • Coordinate and communicate with RTI's outside tax consultants on matters as appropriate.

What You'll Need

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or taxation and 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree in accounting, finance or taxation and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

  • CPA preferred

  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.
  • High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
