What You Can Expect

As an IT Intern with ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EMNA), you will gain hands-on experience supporting the daily operations of a dynamic and fast-paced IT department. Each day, you'll assist with troubleshooting technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, updating asset inventories, and helping maintain the performance and reliability of user workstations and network infrastructure. You'll work side-by-side with IT engineers, system administrators, and support staff, giving you valuable exposure to enterprise-level technology environments and industry best practices.

This internship is designed to help you build practical skills in IT support, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity while contributing directly to the stability and security of our systems. Success in this role will be measured by your responsiveness to requests, attention to detail in resolving issues, and your ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts.

Reporting to the IT Compliance Senior Advisor, your roles and responsibilities include:




  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for end users, including hardware, software, and networking problems


  • Support IT staff with the installation, configuration, and deployment of computers, printers, and other peripherals
  • Maintain and update IT asset inventory, including accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and equipment assignments
  • Participate in user account creation, permission management, and basic Active Directory administration
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and performance checks on workstations and other IT systems
  • Collaborate with IT engineers, system administrators, and support teams to improve processes and enhance system reliability
  • Follow IT and cybersecurity best practices when handling sensitive data or accessing systems
  • Provide responsive, professional, and customer-focused technical support to both technical and non-technical users



What You'll Bring



  • Actively pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience or training in IT systems



Additional Details



  • Eligible for a hybrid schedule consisting of in-office and remote work opportunities, subject to business needs
  • Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies



Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.50 - $32.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
