We have an opening for a Senior Paralegal (Structured Credit) in our New York office.
The Senior Paralegal applies advanced knowledge of the transactional lifecycle and its associated procedures to provide high-level assistance to lawyers.
In this capacity, the Senior Paralegal will:
- Perform work proactively, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, so as to permit the Firm to reasonably collect fees for such work;
- Meet expectations of billable hours target of 1,725 (unless otherwise specified);
- With minimal attorney supervision, coordinate, organize, prepare and interpret complex transaction documents related to structured finance deals matters; build and maintain relevant databases and files; file documents and provide copies to relevant parties;
- Manage key aspects of deal lifecycle on behalf of attorneys, including creating and maintaining checklists, identifying critical deadlines, and organizing communications.
- Organize, review, and maintain documents and diligence materials; prepare and distribute signature pages; compile and finalize documents and closing binders;
- Review and file UCC financing statements; order and review UCC lien searches and corporate documents; coordinate with external vendors regarding the same;
- Partner and coordinate with internal resources and outside vendor services;
- Coordinate with other areas/departments of the Firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs;
- Work overtime as required; travel as required; and
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Proficiencies:
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications;
- Proficiency in MS Word and document editing/comparison applications;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet/database applications;
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presentation applications;
- Proficiency in iManage;
- Proficiency in online research and internet search resources (LexisNexis/Westlaw), as well as utilizing SimplyAgree, Litera, and other transactional software tools;
- Experience with timekeeping and expense reporting applications; and
- Knowledge of legal billing processes.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of Paralegal experience (required);
- At least 7 years' transactional experience (required);
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred); and
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (preferred).

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $100,000 and a maximum of $130,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
