Job Summary

The Executive Director of Business Services leads the strategic planning and operational management of business services within the organization. This position requires collaboration with various departments to optimize service delivery and enhance the overall financial performance.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Develop a people-first customer service approach that is dedicated to continuous improvement through technology, lean process implementation, data analytics, and other industry best practices.

Job Duty 2 - Contribute personal efforts and inspire others to contribute to achieve campus-wide strategies and initiatives. Create a culture and climate conducive to high-impact teamwork.

Job Duty 3 - Create an inclusive environment that demonstrates this commitment through accountability to inclusive practices throughout the organization. Ensure an atmosphere of continuous improvement and development.

Job Duty 4 - Develop systems for growing and developing managers and individual contributors assigned to the division.

Job Duty 5 - Establish effective relationships with both internal and external constituencies (including faculty, students, staff) and serve as an effective representative of the campus.

Job Duty 6 - Create training program in collaboration with the Workplace Learning & Professional Development (WLPD) team.

Job Duty 7 - Lead through a data informed approach. Consistently seek data to improve the effectiveness of operations and the way they are run.

Job Duty 8 - Develop and analyze metrics for measuring service. Develop accountability standards for adhering to customer service expectations.

Job Duty 9 - Promote and maintain the good name of the Institute while conducting business in an ethical and professional manner to ensure avoidance of all actual and potential conflicts of interest. Work with campus constituents to ensure that material, service, payments, and contractual requirements are met in a timely and compliant manner.

Job Duty 10 - Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Required Experience
10 years of progressive work experience managing procure to pay functions on behalf of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Related professional certification(s) including Certified Project Master (CPM), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree.

Preferred Experience
Five years management experience in a higher education environment.

Proposed Salary

$171,552.00 - $205,000.00

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituents. Demonstrated ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures to formulate logical and objective decisions.

KNOWLEDGE
Proven track record of enabling next generation tools and processes to support the evolving requirements of a large, complex, and growing organization while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
Preferred knowledge of Georgia General Statutes and Federal regulations guiding procurement practices.

SKILLS
Strong supervisory skills. Strong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment. Ability to set clear goals and, through effective communication, share those goals with staff. Strong negotiation skills. Superb communication skills.
Preferred skills include: Experience with Workday financials and Jaggaer Procurement software. Demonstrated expertise in independently drafting and analyzing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contracts, business documents and/or other agreements while assuring compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and prime contract terms. Customer-focused and dedicated to continuous improvement through technology, lean process implementation, data analytics, and other industry best practices.
