POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

McCallie Associates, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has an exciting opportunity for aProgram Manager / Senior Systems Architect who is responsible for the strategic planning, design, and integration of complex IT systems supporting mission-critical defense programs. This role will lead architecture efforts for enterprise networks, virtualization platforms, containerized workloads, and secure communications systems aligned with DoD and Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) frameworks.



  • Lead the end-to-end architectural design of enterprise IT systems, including virtualization (e.g., VMware, Harvester), storage, network, and compute infrastructure.
  • Guide system modernization initiatives and support Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) efforts for selecting future technologies.
  • Define and document system architecture roadmaps, standards, and design patterns across multiple programs (e.g., TACLAN, CSfC, SOCRATES).
  • Work closely with program leads, engineers, and integrators to ensure alignment with performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Support the development and deployment of container orchestration solutions using Rancher, Kubernetes, and Harvester.
  • Provide technical oversight on lab infrastructure, mission kit builds, and rapid deployment platforms.
  • Ensure architectural compliance with DoD policies, RMF cybersecurity standards, and cross-domain solution requirements.
  • Participate in technology demonstrations, program reviews, and stakeholder briefings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, enterprise IT, or solution design
  • Proven expertise in virtualization, containerization, networking, and storage systems
  • Experience with DoD IT systems, secure enclaves, or tactical edge deployments
  • Strong knowledge of system integration, cloud-native architecture, and automation tools
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills


Pay range:$200,000 to $270,000 per year
