Job Duties: Associate, Settlements with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsible for coverage, resource allocation and process optimization. Ensure all trade economics and discrepancies are appropriately investigated and resolved, while managing client expectations and potential fail exposure. Identify process and controls improvements by leveraging constantly evolving tools that can be used to build scalability without introducing new risks. Perform bilateral settlement of cashflows on multiple currencies that require knowledge of transmission protocols including SWIFT, IBAN, and Fed wire. Process Swaps and Contracts for Difference (CFD) on a daily basis by utilizing internal systems from trade capture, trade booking, database storage, trade flow, and cash spinoff economics. Responsible for identification, documentation, and new process ideation of defective trades that are not recognized by Firm systems. Collaborate on interdepartmental initiatives with engineering teams to prototype ideas and improve error handling before new programs are deployed to production. Provide daily assessment of client and Firm accounts to calculate overall market risk given previously provided data from clients. Review client strategy and default trade configurations to correctly balance market exposure and meet legal regulations around the world.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with: working with the Derivatives settlements process and synthetic products including Contracts for Difference (CFD) and Simple Workflow Access Protocol (SWAP); working with transmission protocols including SWIFT, IBAN, and Fed wire; working with the overall trade booking lifecycle including Pre-Trade, Trade Execution, Trade Clearing, Trade Settlement, and the final stage of Position and Risk Management; and Quality Assurance, Design Patterns, and Aspect Oriented Engineering.
