Job Title: Cable Technician (CT2 Level) Location: Mesa, AZ 85212 Employment Type: 640 hours Contract-to-Hire (roughly 3-4 months until conversion from the contract) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM Target Start Date: September 1st, 2025 (could be pushed out a week or two depending on the onboarding process) Pay Range: $23-$26/hour (based on experience) Overview: We're hiring experienced Cable Technicians for a long-term data center construction project in Mesa, AZ. This multi-phase build offers consistent weekly hours, career growth opportunities, and exposure to large-scale commercial environments. Key Responsibilities: * Pull, terminate, and test Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables * Install J-hooks, cable trays, and ladder racks * Build out IDF closets and patch panels * Perform cable dressing and labeling to standards * Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including hot conditions and heights * Collaborate with team leads and follow safety protocols Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years of low voltage cabling experience * Familiarity with RJ45 terminations and color codes * Experience with fiber (patching, handling-not splicing) * Commercial construction experience preferred * Must provide own hand tools and boots * Spanish-speaking technicians welcome Why This Role? * Guaranteed 40+ hours/week with strong likelihood of overtime * Career advancement opportunities within the data center space * Supportive team environment with experienced leadership * Long-term project stability and consistent work Next Steps: Candidates will first speak with a recruiter, followed by a video interview with the recruiter, then with the account manager, and finally with the hiring manager. After the final interview, selected candidates will begin onboarding. Candidates must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background* check and drug screening, which includes testing for THC. Candidates also must be willing to undergo an additional on-site drug test (oral swab), to be administered on the first day on-site (expected September 1st).* Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
