Job Summary |
The Forest Resilience Extension Associate will work with the Project Team, with primary responsibilities to design, manage, and implement Extension toolkits and outreach programs. Other duties as assigned. 2-year position with possibility of additional year dependent on grant extension availability.

Essential Functions |
Extension: Development of Extension toolkits (publications, website, and social media contents) and organization outreach events (workshops, trainings, and webinars); literature review to support curriculum development
Program Administration: Coordinate with the steering committee and project investigators for timely, cost-efficient, and effective progress in the activities of the grant. Organize project meetings. Organize workshops and other events related to the grant (stakeholder meetings, sessions at extension conferences, etc.)
Budget and Reporting: Manage the project budget and be responsible for continuous internal auditing. Responsible for compiling annual reports due to the sponsor.

Education: Bachelor's in Environmental Education, Communication, Natural Resources, or related field.

Candidates must have a robust understanding of forestry in the Southeastern United States. The successful applicant will demonstrate commitment to the timely completion of deliverables and strong potential to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Excellent written, quantitative, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Effectively shares/disseminates information; listens to others and incorporates /integrates information. Uses oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to achieve role objectives. Demonstrates the necessary knowledge to effectively perform job and ability to apply learning to job responsibilities. Acquires new skills, knowledge and abilities as required by the job. Works effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve organizational goals. Works with minimal supervision and manages own time effectively.
In addition, the candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of employment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
