Job Title: LIS Manager Location: Primarily Remote (Up to 20% Onsite Travel - Expenses Covered) Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire (CTH) - Direct Placement candidates also welcome Department: Laboratory Services / Clinical Informatics Reports To: Director of Laboratory Informatics or equivalent leadership Role Overview The LIS Manager will provide operational and strategic leadership for the Laboratory Information Systems, with a focus on Epic Beaker, Data Innovations (DI), and Haemonetics. This role is essential in managing the complexity and volume of our lab operations, ensuring system performance, data integrity, and alignment with clinical workflows. This is a primarily remote role with up to 20% travel to facilities as needed. Travel expenses will be fully covered. Key Responsibilities System Oversight & Optimization: Manage and optimize LIS platforms (Beaker, DI, Haemonetics) to support high-volume lab operations across the enterprise. Operational Leadership: Lead day-to-day LIS operations, including issue resolution, system maintenance, and performance monitoring. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Lab Directors, IT, Clinical Operations, and vendor teams to align system capabilities with clinical and regulatory requirements. Project Management: Support ongoing LIS enhancements, upgrades, and integration projects, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to lab services. Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure LIS data accuracy, security, and compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards. Team Support & Mentorship: Provide guidance to LIS analysts and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of LIS experience in a healthcare or lab environment Proven success managing Epic Beaker and/or Data Innovations in a high-volume setting Familiarity with Haemonetics (SafeTrace TX or similar) Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise lab operations Technical Skills: Strong understanding of LIS architecture, lab workflows, and instrument interfaces Knowledge of HL7 messaging, middleware, and integration best practices Ability to troubleshoot complex system and workflow issues Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities *Skills* management skills, leadership communication, lis, beaker *Top Skills Details* management skills,leadership communication,lis,beaker *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Informatics, or related field Certification in LIS or Clinical Informatics (e.g., ASCP, AMIA, PMP) Experience in Epic Beaker implementation or optimization projects *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
