Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Acts as the initial point of contact * Connects clients with Social Service staff * Monitors and assists all front desk services, including: o Showers o Laundry o Client mail distribution o Food box distribution o Gas Vouchers o Set-up and breakdown of the multipurpose room for meals and events * Directs all incoming and outgoing client phone calls to the appropriate staff person * Under the supervision of Good Sam leadership, provides information and referrals * Assists with de-escalating clients and maintaining the peace and safety of the center * Assists in monitoring the interior and exterior of the facility * General clean-up of facility and grounds * Reports all maintenance and equipment issues * Notify the Director and Corps Officer of all safety issues and emergencies * Assist with statistical record keeping, including collecting documents and data entry regarding all client services * Collects client applications/documents and directs to the appropriate Social Service staff, maintaining confidentiality * Prepares documentation for all donations and distribution of donated items * Driving duties and warehouse support, as needed * Assists in holiday projects and programming, as needed * Performs other duties, as assigned * Other related duties as required The Salvation Army Monterey Peninsula Corps EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma * CA Driver's License * Bilingual in Spanish SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Good organizational skills * Able to work with a diverse group of individuals * Able to multi-task and set priorities * High level of integrity and confidentiality * Able to work with MS Office software programs * Able to work with limited supervision PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
