JOB SUMMARY The Opioid Team is seeking to hire a Project Manager who will report directly to the Director of Opioid Safety within the Quality and Operational Excellence Department. Works under minimal direction to provide project management expertise in management of one or more assigned project. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data collection and data analysis related to opioids and other controlled substances that are removed for an automatic medication dispensing machines. Clinical experience, knowledge and utilization of process improvement tools are highly desirable. EPIC is used heavily in this role, experience with this is strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required

4 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree or certification(s) may be used in lieu of years of experience.

JOB DUTIES
- In collaboration with senior management owners and stakeholders from various departments, define project scope, goals and deliverables that support Health System performance improvement goals; develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents; communicate effectively project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Work closely with project owners/stakeholders on an ongoing basis; estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Assess needs for additional staff and/or resources and communicate recommendations to senior management.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders; delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel; identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team in collaboration with senior management; identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools; track project milestones and deliverables; develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
- Help determine the frequency and develop the content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas; proactively manage changes in project scope; identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Build, develop and grow any relationships vital to the success of the project. Communicate project objectives and goals.
- Conduct post project reviews and create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- May supervise staff in performance of duties. May provide guidance to other project managers and specialists.
- Monitor resources and scope adherence of major initiatives and escalate any variances to Health System Leadership. Work with Health System Leadership to develop solutions to issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
