About the Role

As the Sr. Manager Warehouse Operations, you'll lead and develop a large, multi-site team while driving strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels. You'll be the architect of best-in-class warehouse practices and a champion of safety, digitization, and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading and developing Warehouse Managers, Supervisors, and up to 200 associates across multiple facilities.
  • Fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and structured development plans.
  • Building leadership capability and succession readiness at all levels.
  • Driving change management and promoting cross-site collaboration in a matrixed organization.
  • Designing and implementing SOPs and best practices across warehouse and shipping functions.
  • Embedding daily management systems to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Streamlining workflows, reducing waste, and improving service levels across all sites.
  • Leveraging ERP systems (JDE) to enhance inventory visibility, accuracy, and control.
  • Strengthening the connection between digital systems and physical operations for real-time data integrity.
  • Supporting warehouse digitization initiatives including automation and system upgrades.
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting, root cause analysis, and disciplined processes.
  • Managing service disruptions and implementing corrective actions to minimize impact.
  • Monitoring and improving KPIs such as order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, inventory turns, and labor productivity.
  • Championing a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Conducting audits, training, and risk assessments to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

What We're Looking For

You're a strategic, hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence and a track record of driving results.

You'll bring:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field (REQUIRED).
  • Professional certifications such as APICS, Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP (preferred).
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management.
  • At least 3 years managing large teams across multiple locations and layers of leadership.
  • Proven success in talent development, change leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in high-speed fulfillment operations within CPG or food/beverage manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and WMS.
  • Prior involvement in warehouse digitization, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Deep understanding of Lean principles, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Midwest plant locations.
