Department's Website: Success in this role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to employer engagement, with a strong emphasis on in-person outreach and strategic relationships and partnership development. The Director will spend the majority of his/her time traveling and meeting with industry partners on-site, attending networking events, cultivating employment opportunities for students, and understanding employer needs to acquire talent. By understanding employer needs along with workforce trends, the Director will shape recruitment strategies that align with the strengths and aspirations of Walton College students and represent their industry and geographical location preferences. Additionally, the Director will work collaboratively with the Associate Director for Internships and the Career Consultants to actively integrate employer relations into academic and professional development initiatives. A successful candidate will be a dynamic relationship-builder with exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate a varied business industry, be willing to travel frequently to employer meetings, conferences and networking events - with the ability to work evenings and weekends - and have the ability to analyze employer engagement data to assess trends, identify gaps, measure impact, and refine strategies. Regular, non-disruptive, and in-person, reliable attendance is an essential job duty, as well as the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position will require office hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with in-person support of programming/events during office hours and occasionally nights and weekends.
