Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing all residential loans in our portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service. You'll handle daily inquiries, process payments, manage escrow disbursements, and collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to maintain loan integrity. This is a hybrid role based in Holyoke, MA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding existing residential loans.
  • Maintain and service loans based on customer needs and bank policies.
  • Process loan payments and general ledger transactions.
  • Verify borrower and loan data in the bank's core system.
  • Manage escrow disbursements, including insurance payments and adjustments.
  • Upload closed loans to mortgage systems and storage databases.
  • Review closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure proper loan coverage.
  • Scan and archive completed work.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and bank regulations.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 months of related experience preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
