Summary:
The Director leads a team within the Marketing, and Brand Operations functions. The Director is responsible for the supervision and management of team members, team operations, budget management, and vendor management. The role drives collaboration across the organization, and performs team leadership and development. The Director manages a team responsible for: representations of the MaineHealth brand in various mediums (visual, virtual, verbal), such as podcasts, live/recorded video/broadcasts, learning management system courses, in-person/live/hybrid events, and collateral overseeing various aspects of managing content development including the strategy, design, delivery method, content creation, production, and adoption by the intended audiences (e.g. patient, care team, health care orgs., public)developing, implementing and measuring various aspects of integrated marketing strategies to achieve the business goals for the system's care delivery model via hospitals, practices, and community health across the patient lifecycle (acquisition, conversion, onboarding, retention, loyalty)oversees organization-wide social media strategy and execution, use of owned and paid marketing channels (web, social, email, broadcast, print, digital display, direct-to-patient) and coordinates with earned media partners overseeing various aspects of creation, implementation and production of content, including production management, project management, workflow management, and auditing, across delivery methods, channels, or tactics, including merchandising in all branded environments or anywhere the MaineHealth brand is used. Overseeing various aspects of creative direction such as visual design, live or recorded video production, education module production, 2D & 3D animation, podcasts, medical illustrations, copy editing, and story-telling narrative development brand platform concepts are consistently integrated and adopted throughout the organization in all verbal, visual, and virtual branded environments and content, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to infuse brand strategy into cross-functional initiatives overseeing various aspects of using owned and paid media channels and tactics to reach defined audience close collaboration with partners to leverage earned media, and internal communications supervision and management of team members, team operations, budget management, vendor management. Driving collaboration across the organization, and performs team leadership and development.

The Director, Brand Operations leads the Design, Multimedia, and Events functions within the Marketing and Communications Department. This role ensures consistent, high-quality representation of the MaineHealth brand across all mediums-visual, verbal, and virtual. Responsibilities include overseeing content creation, production, and distribution across multiple channels, including video, events, design, education modules, social content, and merchandising. The Director manages team operations, project workflows, budget, and vendor relationships, while fostering collaboration across departments. A strategic and integrative thinker, the Director drives change and alignment across functions to support enterprise-wide goals.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent Preferred: Master of Business Administration (MBA) (or equivalent work experience with a significant business focus)Minimum of 10 years' experience in a business environment or related industry
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience managing: brand and/or marketing initiatives brand management and strategy people resources budgets workflows
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  5. Strategic, multi-dimensional thinking, with an ability to look at the whole picture and see how things interact. Ability to work backwards from a desired outcome to formulate a clear path.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of marketing strategies, brand strategy, data management, analytics, and measurement approaches that result in the production of engaging content, effective marketing strategies, market research methodologies, and engagement strategies
  7. Understands and represents the patient perspective linking marketing research, consumer information, with product/service strategies and translates the information into multi-channel marketing strategies to deliver business results.
  8. Experienced at guiding solution development toward decisions that improve organizational KPIs, and at guiding cross-functional team members in solution development.
  9. Ability to articulate a prioritized order of solution development and implementation based on a combination of business impact, work effort, and impact to organizational KPIs.
