About the role
The Senior Endpoint Security Engineer is responsible for system health and maintenance of the global Endpoint security infrastructure including major upgrades, major feature improvements, system wide changes and all aspects of the core platform. This role works at the direction of the IT Security Manager and collaboratively with others to improve the cybersecurity maturity of the organization on a daily basis. *Skills* SentinelOne, SIEM, Port Scanning, Endpoint Security, Threats, Communication, Symantec, IAM, TVM, Scripting *Top Skills' Details**- * * *Monitor and analyze SentinelOne to detect unauthorized or anomalous port scanning activity across endpoints and network segments.* * *Develop and fine-tune alerting rules and detection logic within SentinelOne and integrated SIEM platforms to ensure timely identification and response to port scan behaviors.* * *Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams to investigate port scan alerts, assess potential threats, and implement mitigation strategies to reduce attack surface.* *Additional Skills & Qualifications* - Adherence to global IT security processes, procedures and policy - Assist with security investigations to determine root cause, impact and remediation steps - Actively participate in a 24x7 delivery team, which will include on-call work. Identify and analyze malware including global trends - Be a thought leader in security engineering - driving automation, analytics, and advanced threat analysis. - Complete assigned projects on time, in line with approved change management practices, and with excellent quality - Configuration, policy changes, and any system wide changes for the endpoint security solution - Continually improving processes to drive operational excellence and support the IT Security Strategy - Monitoring and Continuous improvement for the Endpoint Security system and health - Proactively propose improvements for how to reduce risk and potential future incidents - Provide incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain malicious activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary - Recommends security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk - Regularly document work in an ITIL based ticketing system with a thoroughness acceptable for knowledge base use - Stay informed of breaking news, industry trends and best practices from multiple reliable sources - Other Security Engineering Systems support as requested *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $75.00/hr.
