Description
Summary / Position Purpose: The IT Operations and Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure and operational systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise systems while supporting business continuity and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implement the organization's IT infrastructure. Oversee the daily operations of IT operations infrastructure including servers (Windows, RedHat, Ubuntu), networks (Cisco Meraki, CATO Networks), cloud environments (Expedient, Azure, AWS), collaboration systems (Five9, Dynamics, PureIP, CallTower) and data centers. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all systems. including hardware, operating systems, software, and cloud services.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators and support staff. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Automate infrastructure processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organizations infrastructure from threats through collaboration with the Information Security personnel.
- Lead infrastructure-related projects such as system upgrades, network redesigns, and cloud migrations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals. Collaborate with other IT teams, business units, and External Consultants/Vendors, to align infrastructure with business needs. Partner with the Project Management Office to ensure infrastructure and operations projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Partner with the cybersecurity team to enforce security protocols, manage risk, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Help define infrastructure budget requirements, execute procurement, and identify cost optimization strategies.
- Implement monitoring tools and KPIs to track system health and performance. Provide regular updates to IT leadership on operational metrics and project milestones.
- Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality.

Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related area or equivalent experience and 7 years of experience in IT Operations and Infrastructure or relative training with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years' experience in virtualization, cloud platforms and modern network systems.
- Knowledge of server hardware, networking devices, virtualization, and enterprise storage technologies.
- Proficiency with operating systems, virtualization technologies, automation, and scripting languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proven IT leadership experience with a geographically dispersed team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with leadership, business units and other IT teams and to provide technical support.
- Some after-hours work may be necessary as projects or workloads dictate. This may include weekday evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Some travel to organization offices or facilities may be required.
